Welcome to Waukee Elementary! Waukee Elementary opened in 2010 and is one of eight elementary schools in the Waukee Community School District. We are located at 850 6th Street in the city of Waukee. Our school serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Waukee Elementary is home to approximately 760 students.

Waukee Elementary places student learning and helping each child reach his or her full potential as our primary focus. Our school also offers additional support services in the areas of Reading Lab, Special Education, Extended Learning, and English as a Second Language. With our strong emphasis on meeting the needs of all students through differentiated instruction and research-based practices, the students at Waukee Elementary achieve at high levels on state and national assessments.

We believe that through teaching, modeling, and practicing, Waukee Elementary students will show good character by demonstrating safe, caring, respectful, and responsible behaviors. We also believe that acknowledging and recognizing students when they demonstrate those core values, will promote continued positive behavior.

There are lots of opportunities to get involved and to volunteer at Waukee Elementary. We encourage you to speak with your child’s teacher or visit the PTO webpage for more information.
